Our three expert panelists were Marissa Fayer, Shardule Shah, PhD, and Suman Lal, MD, PhD, MSc. Marissa is the CEO and founder of the nonprofit HERHealthEQ and CEO of DeepLook Medical. Marissa has been listed as one of the Top 100 Women in Medtech, a Top Woman Activist to Watch, one of the Top 24 of 2024 Voices to Listen To, and one of the Wonder Women in Medtech, and she has been featured in Forbes.
Shardule is the CEO of Lime Therapeutics. He is a Harvard Business School Executive Fellow, was named a Blavatnik Fellow at Harvard University in 2022, and oversees the development of breakthrough lipid-targeting therapeutics.
Suman works closely with diverse stakeholders in regions around the world to build innovation infrastructure and ecosystems. He is deeply engaged in the translation of deep tech from academic research institutions.
The panel, “Navigating the NYC Pharma and Biotech Startup Environment: Strategies for Success,” focused on the unique challenges and opportunities for pharma and biotech startups in the NYC area.
